Asking for clarification on buying Last Supper tickets on Cenacolo website. I see the "set times guided tours in English" page. On there it lists the times for the guided tours "in conjunction with an entry ticket". Does this imply that buying the tour ticket includes the admission ticket, or do you have to buy an admission ticket separately in addition to the tour ticket presumably for the same time slot??
If you are able to buy a ticket for an English tour, that is your admission ticket. You only need one ticket per person. The English tour is very good.
Thank you for your reply CD! I have noticed the English guided tour tickets are more available than the admission tickets.
I was there in November 2022. Then you could not go in without a guide. There is a guide and a set number of visitors. You enter the "lobby" which then enters almost like a chamber. When everyone in the group is in the chamber the door you entered is locked and new chamber door is opened. When in the room with the LS, you are the only group in the room, guide continues her talk. When your group's allotted time is up, you exit, the room is emptied, you are locked out and the next group enters.May be different now.
Bumping this post up as I have a similar question myself..
I am hoping to buy tickets for October when sales open on Tuesday. On the Cenacolo site, I see the option for buying “Cenacolo admission tickets” for E 15,00 or “Cenacolo set times guided tours in English” with no price. Our time will be quite limited on the day of visit, so I can do without a tour.. Is it ok to just buy the E 15,00 Cenacolo Admission Ticket? Do I need to buy the English tour to be guaranteed admission?
Thanks in advance, I want to make sure I am attempting to buy the right thing when the window opens.
It’s ok to just buy without tour although the tour is definitely worth it
I don’t recall the tour price but it wasn’t much more
All visits are timed (15 min I think?) so the guided tour doesn’t take any longer than without
I just went a couple of weeks ago. I got the guided tour tickets since that's all that was available. As others have stated you are sort of locked in the room for 15 minutes and everyone goes in and comes out at the same time. The guided tour was interesting when I could hear the guide. Although you have a headset he practically whispered, something about not disturbing the environment to preserve the painting. You then get an escorted visit to the gift shop for something less than 15 minutes, then your visit is over. I thought it was well worth the price and trouble I went through to get the ticket just to be in a room with one of the masterpieces of Renaissance art.
