We will be in Milan in April. The first day reservations became available via one RS-recommended link to see The Last Supper in April was Jan 13. On Jan 14, our days were already unavailable. Two different phone numbers we've tried keep disconnecting. The tours which include viewing The Last Supper are ridiculously expensive and cover sites we can visit on our own. Four of us are travelling together, so booking one of these would really add up. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Beverly,
I'm not sure what website you used, but I used tickitaly for my Last Supper tickets. I placed on order three months in advance, and then received an email saying they only take orders two months in advance. I had to pay more than the normal price, like 20 euros or something for the ticket. The whole thing was a stressful ordeal, but everything ended up working out fine.
Christine, the OP is right, sales opened for April on Jan 13. Here is the problem, from the reservation website: WARNING: January 13th on the occasion of the advance sales opening for the month of April, there aren't going to be opened the days from April 9th to 17th, which are dedicated to the XIII week of the culture. The bookings will be opened soon and the correct date will be posted here. Hopefully, this means tickets will be available later. It is worth the time and effort to see it.
Keep calling. I must have dialed the number 5 times before getting a human on the line. Plus I booked a 3:30 time which offered an english guide to explain the last supper. I do not think it was that much more expensive
Thanks for the input on Last Supper reservations.
can anyone provide the number for me? When would you suggest we call for June 8-10?
In regards to the question above, booking June 8-10, the tickets go onsale March 9th for June at www.vivaticket.it
I suggest you go to this official website prior to March 9th as you need to register first before purchasing your tickets.
Here is a direct link to the booking site: http://www.vivaticket.it/evento.php?id_evento=298097&op=cenacoloVinciano However, I suggest you call as early as possible on March 9th for June tickets. Remember, the tickets go on sale at 8am in Italy, which is 2am EST. I usually wake up at 4:30 EST, so I decided to wake up a little early on Feb. 9th to book my tickets for this May. At 4am the website showed no availability for my dates - only 2 hours after they went on sale. However, I called directly 011-39-02-9280-0360, pressed 2 and spoke with an operator who spoke perfect English. The operator was able to book DH and I for the 9:30 tour with the English guided tour, which was the only time left available. It was an extra 3-4 euros per ticket, but at least we got in. Good luck!
does anyone recommend the tour or is it best to just go on your own? The tour is 3 hrs and includes the duomo.
