The website that RS recommends states that the viewing for the Last Supper is booked up til the end of November. Another website says I can reserve but that confirmation can be given out 2 hours before or after the scheduled time (what?!). For those who have had a similar online response that I have, did you have any problems booking the tickets by telephone? I am flying into Milan Nov 26, and am staying only 1 night. I have read that booking online can be difficult and I am wondering if this is why. The main reason of even flying into Milan was to see The Last Supper.
Kelly, I am going to be in Milan one-night-only in September and when I looked online, my day was sold-out too. I telephoned the res center and was able to get a spot. Try it! They speak English (sort-of) and the call was fast and easy. Good luck!
I had a hard time getting thtough the call center in the morning hours EST to make a reservation, but it finally dawned on my that I was thinking in EST time instead of Italy time. I got up extra early one morning and called 6AM EST (noon Italy time) and finally got through and was able to make a reservation.
Definitely call, the day I needed had no avialablity on the website but a quick phonecall did the trick; the agent did speak English, but not too well. Your only other option if tickets are not available is the join the city tour that includes a visit to the Last Supper.
Thank you all. Hopefully I will have the same luck as you all!
What a nightmare this can be? We flew into Milan on Wed, Aug. 11; time was after walking tours departed. Worked hard getting tickets to Last Supper. Succeeded through Dark Rome tour group; most helpful. We deplaned at 11 AM, took Malpensa Express to Centrale Station; stored carry-ons; taxi to Duomo[INVALID]go on rooftop to see city; taxi to Last supper for 1 PM tour. Everything went well. Do not take walking tour; you can do this yourself. Had 4 grandchildren with us. Last Supper a definite.
