Last Supper images

Hi all - I assume that flash photography is not allowed at the last supper, but does anyone know if camcorders/actioncams are okay? I'd like to use a very small actioncam to capture my kids experiencing the last supper. I have no idea what the rules or practicalities are, so if anyone has been there recently, please let me know if you've observed anyone using an actioncam, camcorder, or camera. Thanks!

Hi. The use of cameras of any kind inside the Cenacolo is absolutely forbidden. The staff will actually make you erase your photo if they catch you. Sorry!

I was there last May and there is no photography or video recording of any kind permitted. One person was asked to delete an image in the group that a friend and I were in. You don't want your children experiencing your encounter with a museum guard.

Oh wow, that's too bad - I didn't know they outlawed all forms. Okay, thanks!

Maybe give the children a sketch pad and have them sketch the scene as they see it. You could also encourage them to express in writing in their own words their feelings and impressions.

As I recall, they keep it fairly dark in the actual viewing room.

Kent, I think it depends on time of day. I was there at 8:30 am last May and there was plenty of light.

Sadly, photos are not allowed. This is a very quiet & controlled environment. As I recall, you will be allowed to stay for around 15 minutes & will be guarded the entire time. Seeing "The Last Supper" in person was very different (even better) than I expected. It is magnificent!
