If I want to buy tickets to the Last Supper in February 2025, what day in December do the official tickets go on sale?

Actually they don't. They say tickets for this quarter, Nov.Dec.Jan. went on sale Tues. Sept. 24 which is the 4th Tues. 2 months prior.
Rick Steves says the 3rd Wed. 2 months prior. Does it vary?

Perhaps this Search will have some helpful info. Remember that the RS Guides probably take about a year from research to print. In most cases, the church/museum website has the most up to date info. But this being Italy, sometimes things just don't happen when the printed info states. Good luck!

Rather than relying on any predictions, the safest thing to do is to start checking the official website in early December until they post it. Often someone will post it on this forum once it is announced. A year ago it was Tue Dec 19 (for Feb. 2024), then Wed. Mar. 20, Tue June 18, and Tue. Sept. 24. Before I bought tickets last June, I had erroneously believed it was always a Wednesday; fortunately I check a few days beforehand.
Meanwhile, the new Ken Burns documentary on Da Vinci showing on PBS this week has a nice segment on the Last Supper.
