My son and I are extending our tour (ending in Rome) to enjoy a few days in Cinque Terre and eventually end back in Venice. Does anyone have hotel recommendations in Venice that will be a nice end to our trip and provide easy access to the airport?

When we sought east access to airport, we stayed on the mainland and took public transport into Venice. There is a lovely Hilton Garden Inn (Mestre) nicely located.

How early is your flight out? If its late (noon or later) then you could stay anywhere in Venice proper. But if it's a morning flight you'd likely be better off staying close to the airport. (I've seen some people recommend the Titan Inn (Best Western)- nothing fancy but it's close to the airport and has an airport shuttle.

We are flying out at on Sunday, at 12:45pm, so I am thinking we can enjoy one last night in Venice instead of near the airport. However, I am looking at both options just to be safe. Thanks everyone for the responses.
