Any recommendations for a reasonably priced hotel for our last night in Rome. Would like one that has an airport shuttle. Flying home 11:30 am.
I doubt you'll find a hotel in Rome that has a free airport shuttle. Most can arrange an airport transfer but it will be at least 50 euros if not more depending on if it's just you are on a bus type of transport. You don't mention what you consider "reasonably priced" so it's hard to make any type of suggestion. You can use venere.com to find rooms in all price ranges. Donna
No hotel in Rome will have a free shuttle to the airport. The hotel can arrange a shared shuttle for about 35E to the airport and the taxi is fixed at 40E. And, of course, the train is available for 28E for two. When we went just one night in Rome we use Hotel Contilla, just one block south of Termini our the side door. It is handy, breakfast is so so at best, and reasonable for the area.
Carolyn, I'm not sure any "reasonably priced" Hotel in Rome will offer airport shuttle service. As the others have mentioned, there will be a cost for that. It's possible that one of the big five-star Hotels offers something like that, but I'm sure it wouldn't be cheap. Regarding "reasonably priced" Hotels in that area, you could have a look at Hotel Sonya or Hotel Aberdeen. If you'd prefer MORE reasonably priced, consider staying at a Hostel. In that situation, I'd just take the Leonardo Express (14€ PP) from Roma Termini to FCO. You should still be able to enjoy a somewhat leisurely breakfast at the Hotel. I'd probably try to get the 08:22 departure (next one is at 08:52), as you'll need time to walk to your check-in location in the airport (which Terminal are you departing from?). Be sure to allow adequate time to get from your Hotel to the station, and keep in mind that the Leonardo Express departs from Track 24, which will take an extra 5-10 minutes to walk from the front part of the station. Cheers!
We have stayed at the Morgana Royal Court hotel a couple of times. It is a couple of blocks from Termini - on the north side (which is a nicer area compared to the south side). We took the Leonardo Express to the airport.
