Last Minute Tours

Hi, everyone!!

Headed to Florence, Rome and Venice starting next week, and have only booked tour of Vatican. I understand that it is easy to pick up a guide near the Colosseum. We haven't booked tours because unsure we want to be walking around on a tour in what might be cold, rainy weather. Any advice appreciated because we probably would enjoy guides of Florence center, Ancient Rome and St Marks area. We have downloaded Rick's audios. Fire away--all opinions appreciated!!

along with the RS's downloads you can go to pocketvox.com. I used their St. Marks and Dorsoduro tours on our first trip to Venice. I also like their tours of the forum in Rome.

I've done walking tours in Rome using the guides he recommends in his book. All were interesting and informative; I'd especially recommend the twilight tour.

The TI can be a good source for daily tours and most can be booked until nearly the start. Also, use the internet to register the day before/
