Last minute tips for Venice

I am going to Venice tomorrow. I have been following this forum for months and taking plenty of notes but I was wondering if anyone has any last minute advice for a trip to Venice. I will be there for 10 days staying near St. Marks Square after which I will then visit several other parts of Italy. I will be traveling for 3 weeks total. Grazie!

That's a great amount of time to have to spend in Venice. Explore everything, including Murano, Burano and Torcello. Learn to identify cichetti bars and find them in neighborhoods around the city. Have fun!

I don't know what has already been said in the past few months, but DEFINITELY go to Murano, Burano and Torcello. That was one of my favorite days in Venice. Buy a 12-hour vaporetto pass and spend a day visiting the islands. If you are visiting the Doge's Palace, do the Secret Itineraries tour. Very worth it!

Devon, Yes, yes, yes and yes. Only maybe is Murano but everything else is definite.
I'll have a vaporetto pass the whole time.

We are thinking of going to Verona and Padua can that be done comfortably in one long day or two trips?

Go to Ristorante Cantina Canaletto for a big glass of wine. You will never want to drink red wine any other way after this experience. The food was pretty good too.

Yes, Ristorante Cantina Canaletto is on my list. I saw the giant wine glasses on Samantha Brown.
