Last minute Italy in July..private tour recommendations

Hello! My husband and I just booked a trip to Italy in July. We are excited! I have not been since 2008

We will be 5 nights in Rome and 6 nights in Florence.

We are looking for recommendations for private tour guides for day trips.

I’m interested in a private wine tour from Florence. Also interested in day trip to Cinque de Terre.

I think we will rent a car and do a day trip to Assisi. I recall loving that so much!

Abby recommendations for day trips from Rome?

We booked Davanzati in Florence and Singer Palace in Rome.

Our primary interests are food, wine, scenery, people watching and absolutely art museums.

Looking forward to this so much! I’m so happy they are open!

Julie while I cannot personally vouch for these guides, both Roberto Bechi and Susanna Perrucchini have led Rick Steves tours or been utilized as local guides. You can check them out here:

One great day trip from Rome might be the one-hour quick and easy train trip up to Orvieto. It's a lovely high town, with gorgeous views, good food, and the Duomo is a fabulous art museum on its own. The Orvieto Classico wine is known all over the world.
