Folks,
We are trying to book hotels/B&B's for venice and rome for two nights each. Can you suggest some good ones which might have last minute offers. We are looking between april 20-27.
we have been sifting through these webpages but its been hard to find any that are available. I guess your recommendations will help us find more.
Thanks,
Check out the Venere website - it can pull places by price or availabilty, and they are reliable service to make your reservation (they hold your room with a credit card number but don't charge you until you are there).
We were happy with Casa Mimma. I don't know about their availability but I dont think they are as well known as many I've seen on the web. http://www.casamimma.it/uk/index.html
We were very happy with http://www.bbalessandra.com/index.php in Venice.
Hi - we stayed at a lovely little apartment right off the Campo Di Fiori which was within walking distance of every sight to see in Rome. 10 Mins to the Vatican, 10 to Trevi Fountain, 20 Mins to Palatine Hills and Collesseum etc by foot. The email of the landlord is below his name is Alessandro, so hope you have some luck. It was a gorgeous small little apartment that sleeps 2 couples or 2 singles and had the feeling of being in a ship's cabin. Alessandro can send you his website, which i forget at the moment. It cost us 75Euro a night and that was through an agency, so i am sure you amy get it a bit cheaper direct from him. OAt the CDF you have eateries, bakeries, supermarkets, laundry etc as well as fresh fruit and veges every day. It was perfect.email: [email protected]
You could try Ca' Angeli: www.caangeli.it. I don't know if they have last minute offers, but it gets absolutely rave reviews on Tripadvisor. We're staying there in July.
check out www.cross-pollinate.com It is a bed and breakfast and apartment booking agency owened and operated by an American family living in Rome. I have stayed with them many times and the prices are very reasonable and I have not been dissapointed yet. Have fun!!!
Try this one, recommended in RS, http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g187870-d584011-Reviews-Le_Mansarde-Venice_Veneto.html
For Venice, we really liked Hotel Campiello. Just a short walk from St. Mark's but definitely away from hustle and bustle. Clean room, modern amenities, good breakfast.
