I am starting my Italian journey with 4 days in Rome with some knowledgeable friends, but after making our way to Venice, I am taking an early train back to Rome by myself to fly home the next day to USA. I will have seen the "majors" (however, sketchily) but I'd love suggestions about beautiful walks and a good restaurant for dinner. Safety is a concern, of course, but I'm not paranoid. Any suggestions?

What part of Rome are you staying in? There might be some good suggestions nearby. (Rome is safe, as long as you're not completely clueless.)
