We will be in Cinque Terre in early October. Just heard there are landslides that wiped out some of the trails. Anybody have any information about this?

Libby, According to current information, the trail from Manarola to Corniglia is still closed, but the others are indicated as "open". Of course, this could very well change before October. Cheers!

We just returned from Cinque Terr this week. The trail from Corniglia to Manarola was still closed, but there is an alternate "high route", (6b to 6) about a 2 hour hike but not any more difficult than the hikes from Monterosso to Vernazza...it was a really lovely detour through grapes and lemon trees. there's also a ferry boat that will shuttle you from one town to the next if you decide to skip over that section.
