Land Taxis at Venice Cruise Terminal to Mainland

Are land taxis available immediately upon disembarkation or must one walk to main cruise terminal to get taxi? I If so, how long is the walk? Are reservations required or is there a normal queue? Where is luggage collected? We are going to the train station in Mestre . Thank you!!

I think ???? the cruise terminal is no longer in Venice. Used to be a so so walk around the corner to the train. But think that has all changed in the past year. I will pull this comment if someone has a good response.

Many cruises no longer actually dock in Venice- some in Ravenna, some in Trieste, some in Choggia
Need to clarify that

I cannot find any location information under that designation.

Here is some general information on the two Venice cruise ports, Basilio and Marittima, what ships can use them (only small ones), and where else around the lagoon the ships can dock:

What is the name of your ship, and/ or cruise line?

You will dock in Venice. Smaller ships still use Venice, only the large megaships are going elsewhere.

I can't speak to taxis, if they are able to get into the area, then sure, but there is a elevated automated shuttle that goes between the parking area on Tronchetto, stops in Marittima, then on to Piazzale Roma. There, you can get to frequent trains to the mainland, trains to beyond Venice, and there are taxis there.

There is a “people mover” monorail train from the Marittima dock straight to Piazzale Rome, where you will find a taxi rank.
