HI - I'll be relaxing at the lakes area for our anniversary for 3 nights. Sounds like a quiet area but open to any suggestions we don't want to miss while relaxing, walking, wining and dining.....

I loved Lenno! Bellagio is pretty, but very expensive. Lenno and Varenna (where I stayed) were my favorite places to explore. Buy a ferry pass so you can explore other towns, as well as ride around and enjoy the lake. I really enjoyed the gardens at the Villa del Balbianello (famous as Naboo from the Star Wars movies, a frequent movie location.) A shuttle boat takes you to the Villa's dock. My favorite restaurant was at my hotel in Varenna -- Hotel Montecodeno. Their smoked trout pasta was to die for!
