Do you have any tips on traveling from Lake Orta to Varenna??? 80 years old and living my best life, but not sure if the train is the safest and how hard to pack luggage on and off for 2 train changes

"Lake Orta" ( what town?) to Varenna is approx 130km.
My observation has been that a taxi or car service runs close to one euro per km, that the driver has to travel i. e., round trip distance of 260ish km. Is 250-300 euro in your budget?
How are you getting to Lake Orta? Perhaps they can offer a solution for the next leg of the trip.
