Lake Iseo and Lake Garda

We are visiting these two Northern Lakes for the first time this fall. Any suggestions for your favorite things to see, to do, places to eat, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Already have the lodging worked out. Traveling by car so we are pretty free to explore anywhere.
Thanks in advance.

To the north of Lake Iseo is an area, the Valle Camonica, really off the beaten tourist track. It's filled with rock carvings, some stretching as far back as 8000 BCE. Two huge concentrations can be found in the Parco Nazionale delle Incisioni Rupestri Preistoriche and the Riserva Regionale Incisioni Rupestri Ceto-Cimbergo-Paspardo. We absolutely loved our visit, especially because this phenomenon is so different from anything else we've seen in Italy. We stopped at a TI office in one of the little towns, I think it was Capo di Ponte, and happened upon a private tour, in English, which we were able to join for very little money (20 euros?). Having a guide was great for understanding what we were seeing. We were lucky. Knowing what I know now, I would contact the TI office or google for guide referrals.
I suggest you get the Cadogan Guide, "Lombardy and the Italian Lakes." It covers the area in great detail and includes some restaurant and lodging recommendations.
