Lake Garda with twinfants. Suggestions for LOCAL fun?

My husband and I will be in Lake Garda for four days with our 9 month old daughters. Does anyone have any suggestions of must see/do things in that area that we could do with two babies? We are going mostly for relaxation and family time, but if anyone has any MUSTS that are not too far of a drive I would love to hear it. It is my first time in Italy and I am looking forward to it!

Faith, - first Hello neighbor! My dad was stationed in Vicenza when I was little. We used to love going to Lake Garda on the weekends and enjoying the sunshine, roses, and the lake - picnics would be great. Vicenza is not too far and a great little town - the Teatro Olympico designed by Palladio will not dissapoint you, along with the other elegant buildings, cafes and shops. Also close by is Verona and Padua. The dolomites are magnificent - Cortina d'Ampezzo is a bit of a further drive but worthwhile, or the town of Belluno or one of the nearby ski resorts - the lifts may be open in the summer - the dolomites are much different from our Olympics but magnificent as well. Happy travels!

Bob,
Yes. Four nights and five days. We are driving down from Bavaria. We will be night driving on the way down and day driving on the way home. If you have any ideas for stops from the Lake to Neurnberg, that would be great, too. We want to make some breaks so the babies aren't too long in their carseats.
