no one can predict the weather in october. several years ago we were in bardolino for their annual wine festival (visitbardolino.it/ festa dell uva oct 2-6 2025). it was fabulous. the weather was great blue skies and sunny.

look at the other towns and what they offer in the different towns and villages. if you are renting a car make sure you get and IDP, it is mandatory in italy. before you go. (aaa.com/IDP) it is good for a year and each driver will need one.
we loved lake garda, a gorgeous lake with small villages, beautiful mountain views with some snow on some. enjoy

It’s hard to predict but in the past I loved october/november because the skies were very clear so you could see far across the lake - clearer than in summer when the heat and humidity brings mugginess and hazy skies. Fall was one of my favorite times of the year there.
Nobody knows how to predict the weather that far ahead. The only time I was there in October, some years ago, it was raining, but not cold, as October is rarely cold, although generally cool in the evenings and nights, but rain in October is certainly a possibility since it’s the second rainiest month of the year, especially the end of October.
