Lake Garda

We're also going for four nights, in late September. Rick doesn't mention the lake at all. I can't guarantee whether we've made a good choice or not, but we're staying in Sirmione, at B&B La Reve. The TripAdvisor reviews were generally good, though one person said the rooms were small. We'll see! At least we can be out in the ferries a lot.

We spent last year at Hotel Nettuno in Bardolino. Absolutely beautiful, room looked over Lake Garda. Best of all we attended their annual wine festival, last week of september first week october, (festa dell uva). If you happen to be there please go!!! Wine wine everywhere, food, craft booths, music, fireworks. Lots of fun. Leave your car at hotel and walk, buy your souvenir glass, go to different booths to taste all the wines that bardolino has to offer. Wonderful people you will meet, listened to music playing, and watched the fireworks on sunday night The lake is gorgeous with all the small towns around it. This year's festival is sept 29 to oct 3.
