I am wondering how easy it is to go to Lake Garda for a day or a partial day when we are in Verona. Are there buses that go around the lake or would it be necessary to rent a car?
Would it be worth it to take the time? We are only in Verona for 2 nights. My interest in the lake, besides its beauty, is that my father was stationed there during WWII.

Karen - thanks so much. That link is perfect. Did you spend any time in Verona? We only have one FULL day in Verona, so I'm not sure about taking some of that time to go to Lake Garda. We will have been at Lake Como just a few days before we arrive in Verona. Like I said, the main motivation for Garda is because my dad was there in WWII.
