Looking for a place to stay around Desenzano or in Desenzano by Lake Garda. Need it to be close to the train station or readily accessible by bus. Does anyone have any recommendations? It will just be my boyfriend and I and we don't need anything fancy but would prefer not to stay in a hostel.

Lago di Garda is a resort town, so nearly all places to stay are a bit pricey, especially June-September. There is a local bus that connects points along the main road along the lake with the train station. That might be your best bet. I do not think there are any hotels or B&Bs by the station.
