Any ideas on where to stay in the Lake Cuomo region of Italy? We're ok staying at or near Lake Cuomo or other lakes. Thank you.

I'm assuming you mean Lake Como, which is just north of Milan? Cuomo is/was a Governor of New York or something.
The usual favourite with many here is the small town of Varenna, which is about an hour from Milan by train. It's a beautiful smaller town and also makes a good home base for exploring other parts of the lake by Ferry.
