Next summer (early June) my two teen daughters and I will be visiting the Lake Como area. Any suggestions on the best place to stay with teens? My hotel budget is $250 or under but I'm flexible. Also we will not have a car so I'm interested in staying somewhere easy for us to get around. Thank you!
"Teen" can mean a wide range. Thirteen year olds and nineteen year olds don't have a lot of shared interests.
Ages of teen girls at time of travel; 15 and 17.
How many nights are you staying at Lake Como? I'm assuming only 2 or 3. Stay in Varenna. It's the easiest to get to by train (from Milan) and it's what Rick recommends. There are ferries across the lake to Bellagio, if you decide to do that. Do buy the Rick Steves Italy 2012 book for specific suggestions on what to do, where to stay, how to get there, etc.
