another one post wonder being so vague. when, how many, budget??? in euros with lake como not budget friendly depending where and what dates, especially during high high season. will you have a car or public transportation. so so many travelers want to travel to lake como with the other thousands & thousands wanting what you want. is your 2 days just 1 night or 2 nights 3 days? check in times is 3-4pm and check-out time is 10-11am
top of page with magnifying glass/ search line. type in lake como, click travel forum, click 6 months date. lots of info. good luck

I agree with the first reply..... more information would be really helpful.

One of the most popular locations for many on the forum is the small town of Varenna, in the mid-lake area. It's about an hour from Milan by train, has lots of different places to stay, good restaurants and easy access to other parts of the lake by ferry. However it's a very popular location so may not fit the "budget" category.

For the lowest cost accommodations in the area, you could check out the Hostel in Mennagio, which is accessible by ferry from Varenna - https://www.lakecomohostel.com/ . Of course, staying in Hostels often requires a few "compromises" but if you can adjust to those, they're a good deal.

Here is a link to my review of the budget b&b (not an airbnb) where I stayed in Varenna. It is also on a link from the website Windyram posted. I found it (Fio & Gio) a perfect location and price, with an incredible view from the terrace, but it would definitely not be everyone's cup of tea. Also read the reviews on booking.com to see if it is right for you.
