Thank you for the recommendations,

I have found one through "Lake Como Water Taxi" that looks great. Any feedback on the company would be appreciated.

I don't think too many people on this forum, including myself, have ever done a boat tour that you are looking to do on Lake Como. These are very expensive boat tours. Most people usually use the ferry to get from one town to another on the lake or possibly use the train. Enjoy your trip.

Hi Kim! I've done extensive research on this in the last month, because we were looking for the same thing. We booked with Cadenazzi Boats for a three hour tour from Bellagio, with a stop at Villa del Balbianello. We're just two of us and reserved a smaller wooden boat, but they also have a Venetian limousine that holds 10, and a quintessentially Como wooden Riva boat, if your budget allows. AC Boats and Lake Como Boat Tour were close contenders, but I ultimately like the 6 meter that Cadenazzi has better.

Most of the boat tour companies will go wherever you request, so don't just go with one that specifies a tour of the Villa on their website. Email them, and let them know what your requests are.

From what I've read on all of these forums, the best times for a tour are in the morning and evening, when the lighting is more dramatic. And three hours with a 45 minute stop at the villa seems adequate. Enjoy!
