Any suggestions of "don't miss" exploring of the Lake Como area for a day? We are traveling via train from Milan to Lierna. We would greatly appreciate any suggestions of where & what to explore along the lake in April. Many Thanks!

Not familiar with Lierna, but stayed in Lecco once. Lecco is a stop for boat trips all over Lake Como.

Why Lierna? Just keep going up north and get off at Varenna. Varenna is pretty and you can also visit Bellagio across the lake with one of the frequent ferries.

Definitely agree with Roberto, Varenna is a great destination. And… As he says, you can visit other wonderful lakeside villages via frequent ferries.
If you have the time, do consider staying at least an overnight.

Lierna is where we found lodging within our price point :-) We will have to take the train to Varenna and explore from there. Favorite places to see, walk, explore, dining in Varenna?
