I like be traveling from Lake Como to Venice at the beginning of August and I am not going to be driving. I was thinking about which medium of transportation is better and the details (train or bus from Lake Como).? Thank you.

It would help to know exactly where you plan on staying on Lago di Como, as the transportation options will vary a bit. If you'll be staying in Varenna (which is the usual favourite with many here), then it's very easy to travel by train to Milano Centrale (1H:03M) and then connect with the Freccia high speed to Venice (2H:35M if you connect with one of the direct trains).

Ken is right, it's very easy to get to Venice via train from Lake Como (Varenna).
