My wife and I are going to Lake Como to the Dolomites. We are in our mid 70's in relatively good shape. We have a pretty good idea of what we are going to do, but want to be sure we don't miss something that we didn't thing of. We leave for Milan on August 24th and return to Milan for our flight home on September 8th
Our Itinerary is, we land in Milan and head directly to Bellagio with a rented car. We will have the car the whole trip.
Bellagio- 3 nights
Bergamo- 1 night
Lake Garda (Riva del Garda) 3 nights
Poschiavo (Bernina Express) 2 nights
Ortisei- 4 nights
Milan airport- 1 night.
In Verena we will be taking a cooking class and in Ortisei we have a reservation for a farmhouse dinner and I will try to get into a woodworking class.
Other than that we are thinking that while in Bellagio taking in a tour of one of the villas and exploring the various towns on the lake. In Bergamo we are meeting up with a friend. On Lake Garda we could use some thoughts. Ortisei is also an area where we would appreciate your thoughts. We want to go up into the mountains and take walks, not strenuous hikes.
Your thoughts are welcomed. Also recommended restaurants.
