Hello and thank you in advance,
I would like to ask a question about staying in a "non-busy" town on Lake Como. I am looking at a place to stay that is in Torno but my fear is that without a car we won't be able to get to Como, Bellagio and other tourist locations on the lake. I don't mind getting a car out of Milan for this stay but if there's a way to get around from a home-base of Torno without a car it would be preferred. Thanks in advance,
Joe
Check rome2rio.com for buses or ferries.
2 bus lines connect Torno with Bellagio and Como. Check timetables in English at http://www.asfautolinee.it/en/home
The ferries are at http://www.navigazionelaghi.it/eng/c_orari.asp which shows that a local Como commuter boat serves Torno 2 times most hours on workdays only, but rare boats to the north.
Thanks Nigel
I knew nothing about those ferries
