We have a 4 and 6 year old and have 11 days. We will fly into Milan and then... need some advice on itineraries. Thank you
What time of the year exactly?
The weather at different times of the year will affect the advice you receive.
Also, which Milan airport will you arrive at and which airport will you be departing from?
We will leave the 17th of Aug, likely flying into Malpensa.
This August? Accommodation availability will be a big factor, especially on the coast. Better just start looking!
Hotels and Airbnb galore many available options are currently available from my searches. I just need helps with the best kid friendly stops, must sees, and drive or not to drive?
Lake Garda has beaches and an amusement park for kids. Ferry rides.
The small towns north of the Cinque Terre in Liguria have beaches too, Levanto and Sestri Levanto.
Ranco on the east side of Lake Maggiore is a small lakefront town, charming. Very near Milan MXP. It has ferry service too.
The Piedmont is not crowded, charming towns and wine villages but don’t know what would appeal to kids.
Venice! Kids would love riding tne Vaporsttos in the canals. Bit it will be crowded. You could go out to The Lido, a vaporetto ride away from Venice.
Big beach.
Thank you all those ideas!
