Lake Como next weekend

Hello, So I have decided to go to Lake Como next weekend. I will be coming from Verona. Anyone have any travel recommendations about how to move around Como once you get there? I would prefer not to rent a car. I was hoping to go to Belagio. Will probably be in Como for a day and a night... thanks for the help.

Scott, Rather than stay in Como, you might consider Varenna instead. It's a wonderful smaller town and a great "home base" for touring the lake. The Ferry dock is right in front of Albergo Olivedo, and from there you can be in Bellagio in about 20-minutes. The trip to Varenna is an easy 01H:03M from Milano Centrale. You'll go through a tunnel just before arrival. Be ready to disembark promptly as the train only stops for about a minute. Depending on where you decide to stay, you should be able to walk to your Hotel. Happy travels!

Thanks Ken. Do you think Como will be worth seeing in March? Also, do you recommend staying in Varenna over Bellagio? What other towns on Como did you enjoy/recommend?

Scott, I've only stayed in Varenna and would absolutely recommend it. I have visited Bellagio and it would be nice also. If you have a really generous travel budget, have a look at This Hotel.
