Hello,
Travelling to Italy in late October. We arrive in Milan and have a full day for Lake Como. We are looking at crossing over to Menaggio, to see the views, etc. At this time of year what is the best way to see the views. Should we look at a private boat or take one of the ferries? How much will weather be a factor? Appreciate any input!
Check the off season ferry schedule because it usually goes into reduced winter/spring service sometime in October so you may be in early off season at that point. The natural beauty will obviously still be there and with fewer crowds, but you might concentrate on larger towns for restaurants to avoid seasonal closures.
Enjoy,
