We have a trip planned to Lake Como -this Sept '24- coming from Milan and heading up to Wengen after that and have logistical questions as well as Hotel recommendations once at Lake Como
1. What about driving to Lk Como and having a car while there. This would allow staying at a more remote nicer hotel that is affordable (?) Or is having a car there more hastle than worth?
2. Or is the train link from airport and connections to Lake Como easier than it looks....
3.Can you find old world charm at less than $4-500 per night for a double? With lake view.
4. Around which city would you stay?
5. Or would you stay at around a less Touristy Lake like Maggiore?
6. While I'm at it has anyone hired a car to drive long distance like from Lake Como to Lauterbrunnen? :)
