We're a family of 4 that will be going on a day trip from Milan to Lake Como on a Tuesday in late August, most likely via train. I've read the Lake Como section of Rick's Italy guide book, but I want to ask for advice here as well. What is the ideal destination to take the train too? We'd like to walk around and spend some time on the water, but our kids would be bored with visiting villas. Just looking for ideas for a fun, relaxing day, and if there are any can't miss things that require pre-booking. If there are any spots for swimming, please share those as well. Thanks so much!
