My brothers and I are planning on going to lake como for 2 days. On the first day we are planning on doing the greenway hiking trail, and on the second day we are planning on doing a ferry tour. We believe that Menaggio is a good place to stay, and the only problem is that we cannot seem to find a good campground. Does anyone know if Menaggio is a good base, and if so, does anyone know of a good campsite? Thanks for the help,

avraham, I don't know of any "good campsites" in Menaggio, but there is an awesome Hostel there. Have a look at Their Website for further information. As the Hostel is affiliated with Hostelling International, it would be a good idea to obtain a membership as the rates will be better. Which route will you be using to travel to Menaggio? Menaggio would be a very good base. The TI in Menaggio is excellent and the town offers a more local experience than many other towns on the lake. Here the campsite in Menaggio.
