Hi - we had been planning to visit Lake Como in late September (2021), but have been wondering about the extent of damage that might impact travel, hotels, and businesses in the area. We haven't seen much on the news since the heavy rain and flooding reports in the news in late July. Is anyone on here traveling in the region currently, and if so, what conditions have you encountered?

George Clooney's Lake Como home was impacted, thus making it newsworthy on outlets like CNN, and the tv news reports I saw of his neighbors showed a lot of destruction and devastation, homes destroyed...you might find some video updates if you google Clooney Lake Como flooding.
Thanks, Jojo. Yes, our challenge was that most of the new reports focused around Clooney's villa and neighbors without much other info about how widespread the flooding impact is.
My wife reached out to the tourist information offices in both Varenna and Bellagio. They both responded that they were minimally impacted with perhaps some ferry delays, but that's about it.
We were in Bellagio two days ago. Only impact we saw was in Como near the ferries. The street had some flooding but nothing severe. Just had the sidewalk closed.
