Lake Como area question?

Trying to decide to spend one day either;
Menaggio to Breglia and perhaps hike to Rifugio
or
Visit Como and then up to Brunate for some light hiking?
Comments, suggestions greatly appreciated.
Thanks

After you've done the mid-lake ferries, some hiking is in order. Be careful on the drive to Breglia, very windy and narrow road. Here's a pic of the Rifugio: view of RifugioAnd here's one of the view down at the lake, this is the view you do the hike for: view of lakehere's from up higher looking down at Monti di Breglia and the lake: Monti di Breglia and lakeIf you haven't been to Lake Como before, your first day is best spent taking the ferries out onto the mid-lake, from Varenna to Bellagio to Menaggio. The views from out on the water at mid-lake are the best views available from the Lake, way better than the views at the Town of Como end, avoid there.

Not a hiker, but can tell you that the views from Brunate are spectacular.
