How will Lake Como (Menaggio) be in mid July without airconditiong?

Or you could find, as we did when just there a few days ago, stifling hot days with hazy air so that you could hardly see across the lake. Our room had no air conditioning but we were able to leave the balcony door open at night for fresh air.
ONe day we took a lake boat over to Menaggio and it seemed to be well situated to catch whatever breeze came along. The swimming there was great as the lake was very clean (a bit north of the town center, where there were steps that entered the water).
