We will be in Varenna in July for two nights. My girls would love to go over to Villa del Balbianello (Star Wars fanatics). I am trying to figure out how to get there using the ferry system and can't make sense of it. Any input or suggested resources would be greatly appriciated.

At least on the current schedule, which goes to May 27, you need to take a boat to Lenno, then about a mile walk to the Villa. At least now, you may have to take the mid-lake ferry to get to Bellagio to catch the boat mid morning. Schedule will change in a couple weeks, so check back then.

Take the Lake Como ferry and get off at the Lenno stop. It's a fairly easy 1 km from there to the Villa. Beautiful spot!
The ferry that you want is the mid-lake shuttle.

Take the ferry to Lenno, head to the left/ south and walk out to the point. Some of the best views you’ll ever see are from there. There is also a shuttle boat from Lenno out there but the walk isn’t too far. We have always walked out there.
