We are going to Italy from London for 4 days around the 4th of July. We would like to stay at one of the lakes, not Como. Any experience with Lago d'Iseo for a relaxing few days? Food, wine, walks, etc.
I stayed at the Lago Iseo Hotel and Spa as part of a group in 2010. The hotel was lovely and it is about a mile to walk or bicycle into the village. There are many shops and restaurants or you can take a ferry to many of the nearby islands. I can't compare it to any of the other lakes as it is the only one I have been to. It was
a very nice experience.
