I'm thinking about getting my hair styled in Rome. Any suggestions and how much will it cost? Is it worth it? Something different. I usually pay 110.00 in Florida.
Thank you

When I stayed in Florence for a few months each year found a good hairdresser, like all he moved & decided I would only have it trimmed while I’m there , if you don’t speak the language it can be difficult & it isn’t that cheap I found🌻
I've had haircuts several times in Europe. In any city of size, there will be a wide range of prices. The top end in Rome (a place recommended by a 4- or 5-star hotel, for example) might be around what you pay at home (which I'm surprised is so high, unless you live in a very expensive town). Or you can pay half that, or less, if you walk in off the street to a hairdresser's shop in a non-touristy neighborhood. After one experience with a pricey hotel's recommendation, I now subscribe to the random-walk technique and have paid as little as 20 euros or so; that was in Bulgaria.
When there's no common language, you can expect the hairdresser to be nervous, because he or she will not want a dissatisfied customer. I try to write what I want in the local language, and I've never had a disaster. But I'm not picky about my hair, and I figure it will grow out if I don't like it.
I believe substantial tips to hairdressers are not a thing in Europe, but I do tip, because it takes longer for them to deal with me, since I don't speak their language. And I thank them profusely.
