Labor Day Travel on the SITA Bus

My wife and I are getting excited for our first trip to Italy in just two weeks. I'm getting down to the nuts and bolts of this trip and I'm starting to panic a little. On May 1 (Labor Day), we plan to travel from Siena to Venice. The plan is to take the SITA bus from Siena to Florence and then the train to Venice. I cannot find any information confirming whether or not the SITA bus will operate on this holiday or if it will be limited service. Any thoughts?

I would imagine that under worse case scenario, we could walk/take a taxi to the train station in Siena and take the train to Florence and on to Venice. I was just worried about any travel restrictions. Any advice is appreciated.

We would expect all transportation to work on a Sunday/holiday schedule, which usually is more reduced for buses than it is for trains. It would be best to confirm schedules there locally, but yes, train to Florence will certainly be an available back-up plan. I did not notice any relevant news on the bus web site.
