La Tagliata - Positano - Taxi from Sorrento??

We have a group that would like to go to La Tagliata for dinner or late lunch on one day of our trip - how difficult is it to take a taxi (and what is the cost) from Sorrento to Positano? It's only 17km (10.6 miles), but hoping for some mentorship on how easily you can get around this area. Thanks for your input in advance!

It will be a bit expensive but it is the way to go. Or, a car+driver. La Tagliata is up on the cliff and a ways out of Positano. It is quite a site/sight up there. Be sure your driver knows where you are going.

This is truly a fun place to visit, especially if your group is new to the driving styles of Italy. We drove up there. The roads are confusing to GPS and are basically one way. There is a city bus that goes up there. If you could take the city bus to Positano and the local bus up to La Tagliata, that would be the best idea! Those drivers really know what they are doing.

Another option is to talk to the La Tagliata owner to see if they will shuttle you. They have an adorable cinquecento they used to get our daughter from Positano to the restaurant and back. obviously, you will will need something larger, but they are clearly familiar with this need.

Make sure you can get a car large enough for your group. I'd recommend a car/driver service which you can probably get a referral from La Tagliata if they do not have a shuttle to get you there and back. You'll love the experience!
