Hello!
Does anyone have any advice on what's the best way to get to the La Spezia train station after dropping our car off at the Hertz Station (Viale San Bartolomeo 389)?

A bus is possible. Look at a Google Map and click on the little blue bus icon intown from the Hertz office. A table with the buses stopping there will pop up, and one is La Spezia FS which is the train station, another is Via Fiume FS which is near the train station. Look up the times and ticket sellers here http://www.atcesercizio.it/index.php/en/
Or take a taxi, as the man says.

we took a taxi and as we were getting in, another couple asked to share. I was told it would be 10 euros to the train station. The ride cost about 19 euros. He said it would cost 'a little extra' because of the other couple. I think he ripped us off. My mom told me afterwards the meter started at 12 euros ... just check the meter before the driver starts the journey so you don't overpay! :) We just hailed one down off the street since the Hertz employees were very busy at the time. Took about 2 minutes to get one.

btw either have a GPS or at the very least have a map of La Spezia on your maps app on your phone (the blue dot will still show you where you are and it uses no data). La Spezia was way more confusing that it looked on Google Maps and without having Google Maps on my phone and detailed directions written down we would still be looking for it!
