La Scala Orchestra Concert: Dress Code

My wife and I have tickets to Concerto Orchestra La Verdi, Sun 11.09.2016, 20:00 Hour and I am struggling to confirm what I can wear.
This is a concert not an opera and this is not an opening night premier. Do I really need to wear a full suit or will very nice slacks and a dress shirt suffice?

We travel very lite and I dread the thought of lugging my Suit around for just a few hours. Their website is less then helpful...

Dress code at La Scala
The public is kindly requested to dress in keeping with the decorum of the Theatre, out of respect for the Theatre and for other viewers. People wearing shorts or sleeveless T-shirts will not be allowed inside the auditorium; in this case, tickets will not be reimbursed.

Hi Miles,
I was thrilled to be able to get opera tickets at La Scala before a trip to Italy in 2011, but I then had the same anxiety that you are having. I ended up deciding to forego the suit, or even a sport jacket, for the sake of one night at the opera. I opted for dark dress pants, a dress shirt, and a black sweater- all things that I got multiple use from on my trip. I did not feel out of place at all when I got to La Scala. I was certainly not the best dressed, but I was far from being under-dressed. Your dress shirt and slacks will be fine. Enjoy the show!

I'd say the dress code says it very well:

People wearing shorts or sleeveless T-shirts will not be allowed inside the auditorium;

I've done an orchestra concert at La Scala and slacks and collared long sleeve shirt was fine. Christstoph von Dohnanyi and a program of Schumann. No problem.
