LA CROCIONA MONTALCINO

Has anyone stayed here? There are so many places it is hard to even narrow the search down, but this one seems to be reasonably priced, and include a wine tasting. However, any input into others experiences who have been there would be greatly appreciated!

We really liked this agriturismo and stayed there six nights in May '09-was only about 60 euros per night. Had a spacious & clean apt with comfy bed, well equipped kitchen area, and pool. There is a terrace with a grill if you care to cook out and they will do laundry for you. Owners run a small vineyard and are very nice-little English spoken there. It is less than five miles to Montalcino and we drove to lots of other Tuscan towns-just a great location and quiet-we like to sleep quiet so we take care to check out accommodations.

Do you have either the RS Italy or Florence/Tuscany books? Rick has already done the narrowing down for you. Good luck.

Lisa:
We really liked Montalcino. Stayed at Palazzina Cesira and it was beautiful, central, free parking a 10 minute walk away.
