La Bussola free tours in Venice

Has anyone taken one of these free walking tours in Venice? What is the appropriate tip for such a thing? Was it a good experience?

We have not taken the La Bussola Tours, but will look forward to feedback from anyone who has taken their tours. We received a recommendation from a forum contributor who took a tour with freetoursvenice.com. We plan to take one or two of their tours. They do an am "Introduction to the City." It's off the beaten path away from touristy crowds. The pm tour covers main landmarks. It emphasizes how the government of the Republic of Venice was founded, how it flourished, and how it fell. Suggested gratuity is €10-20 pp.

I just received "Frommer's 24 Great walks in Venice." Highly recommended by another forum contributor.

jlschandler, The "24 Walks" series is super. Getting a bit dated they are out-of-print, but I find the walks are still valid if not the restaurant recs. ;-)
