Kid friendly tours/tour guides in Venice

My husband and I and our 7 year old son will be in Venice the last week of June. Does anyone have any recommendations for good tour guides or companies? This our 1st time to Venice and will be there for 3 days.

Thanks!

3 days? as in 2 nights? It's going to be difficult touring around with a guide and a 7 year old. Your time is so short you'll probably be doing the normal touristy things like Doges Palace, St Mark's Basilica, Campanile Bell Tower - ALL of these things are in San Marco (St Mark's Square) with hundreds and hundreds of other tourists and day trippers.

Your 7 year old will have a very nice time down in St Elena which is at the far tip of Venice Island. There are trees, grass, playgrounds and lots of other local kids there. Just start in San Marco and walk leisurely beside the Grand Canal until you reach St. Elena. THere's also a vaporetto stop there. THere are little pizzeria shops, ice cream shops - it's fun for kids and also for adults who want to get away from the maddening throngs of tourists in San Marco.
