Never done it myself, but I've seen them in Venice.

There is also Row Venice, which offers groups rowing lessons on the back canals. Price was 90 Euros for 90 minutes pre-covid. Enjoy your trip!

We have done a kayak tour twice in Venice. I believe that venicekayak.com is no longer operating though. The BEST excursion in Venice.

We actually just did this at the end of May! We used https://www.realvenetiankayak.com for our tour. We were a family of 5 and we enjoyed it as newbie kayakers and first time visitors to Venice. It was a nice way to see Venice differently.
